Trail Cam Scout

Affiliate policy.

Updated October 29, 2026

Trail Cam Scout participates in affiliate programs with Rexing, Sportsman's Guide and Ammunition Depot. This is a commercial relationship that readers should know about when considering our product coverage.

How affiliate compensation works

A retailer may pay us a commission when a reader follows a tracked affiliate link and completes a qualifying purchase. Commission eligibility depends on that retailer's program and attribution rules. Not every link on this site is commission-tracked, and a commercial relationship may exist even when a particular link is an ordinary product URL.

We identify affiliate relationships near relevant shopping links and link to this policy. The phrase “affiliate link” means a link that may result in compensation to us; a general source citation is not a claim that we will receive a commission.

Our editorial standards

Compensation must not determine a favorable conclusion. We consider documented features, compatibility, limitations and the practical job a product is meant to do. A retailer's participation in an affiliate program does not establish that its product is the best choice for a reader.

Our current reviews are research-based. We distinguish manufacturer claims, retailer descriptions, attributed owner reports and editorial interpretation. We do not describe another reviewer's testing as our own, invent ratings or claim that we have field-tested a product when we have not. If a future article involves a free sample, sponsorship or other material relationship, that relationship must be disclosed clearly in the article.

What a retailer link means

A link provides a place to check a product or offer. It is not a guarantee of price, stock, bundle contents, warranty coverage or regional compatibility. Those details can change and may differ between listings with similar names. The seller's current listing and terms govern the purchase.

Product selection, checkout, payment, shipping, returns and warranty service take place with the retailer or manufacturer. Trail Cam Scout does not sell these products or process the transaction.

Tracking and privacy

Advertisements in accessory reviews use tracked affiliate links and are labeled as advertisements. Their images are loaded from affiliate-network servers when the banner is displayed. We may receive a commission from a qualifying purchase through these links.

Affiliate links may use link identifiers, cookies or similar attribution methods under the affiliate network's and retailer's policies. Following a retailer link takes you to a third-party website with its own privacy and cookie practices. Our privacy page explains the features used on this site.

Sources, corrections and updates

Review and comparison pages provide their sources and source-check dates. Where a retailer listing conflicts with a manufacturer manual, we identify the conflict and avoid combining the most favorable numbers into a fictional specification. Read our research methodology and editorial policy for the evidence standards behind our coverage.
